2016-2017 Scouting Year
October 2016 Warm the Heart
The scouts and their families participated in the Warm Your Heart Winter Clothing Drive being held by Somerset County.
November 2016 Adopt-A-Family
The scouts and their families donated their spare change to help buy Thanksgiving dinners for local residents through SHIP in Somerville. We collected $120 and bought dinners for 3 families!
November 2016 Military cards
The scouts created cards of thanks during the holiday season that were sent to our military overseas
to remember them and thank them during the holidays.

December 2016 Sang Holiday Carols
The scouts sang cheerful holiday carols to the residents at the NJ Eastern Star Home
and passed out handmade ornaments and candy, and smiles too.



2015-2016 Scouting Year
 
November 2015 Harry Ally Park Clean Up
We cleaned up the always very messy Harry Ally Park and helped make it cleaner and more fun to play at.
November 2015 Warm the Heart
The scouts and their families participated in the Warm Your Heart Winter Clothing Drive being held by Somerset County.
Pack 64 collected 76 coats, scarves, mittens and other warm clothing items for children without proper winter clothing.

December 2015   Holiday Caroling
The scouts sang cheerful holiday carols to the residents at the NJ Eastern Star Home
and passed out handmade ornaments and candy, and smiles too.
April 2016 Scouting for Food
The scouts collected food donations from the community for the Somerset Food Pantry.
Over 75 bags of food were collected and delivered to the pantry.

Year Long -  Color A Smile
The scouts drew and colored pictures for colorasmile.org, an organization that distributes these drawings to nursing homes,
Meals on Wheels programs, and individuals all across the country who need a smile.

 


2014-2015 Scouting Year
October 2014 Adamsville School Garden Clean Up
The scouts and their families helped beautify the Reading Rocks Garden, and donated two benches for the garden for the
students to sit on during Library class, when they are allowed to go outside.

November 2014 Warm the Heart
The scouts and their families participated in the Warm Your Heart Winter Clothing Drive being held by Somerset County.
Pack 64 collected 52 coats, scarves, mittens and other warm clothing items for children without proper winter clothing.

November 2014 Adopt-A-Family
The scouts and their families donated their spare change to help buy Thanksgiving dinners for local residents through SHIP in Somerville. We collected $120 and bought dinners for 3 families!

December 2014 Toys For Tots
The scouts collected toys for the annual Toys for Tots program. We collected 15 new toys to be distributed to
disadvantaged children during the holiday season.
March 2015 Pet Food Drive for Somerset Regional Animal Shelter
Pack 64 scouts and parents collected cat food, kitten food, cat litter, dog food and toys to be donated to our local animal shelter
in anticipation of "kitten season" and the huge spring influx of homeless pets, especially kittens, that have already started
making their way to the shelter for food and protection, medical care and love while they wait for their new homes.

April 2015 Scouting for Food
The scouts collected and sorted food for the food pantry. Over 55 bags of food were collected and donated!
April 2015 Buddy Bench Donation and Garden Clean Up
Cub Scout Pack 64 donated a fabulous, hand created - by our amazing PackMaster Joe Savini - Buddy Bench for the playground at Adamsville School!!!

and passed out handmade ornaments and candy, and smiles too.

April 2014 Anti Bullying Hearts
The scouts created hearts with messages of hope and support for victims of bullying.

May 2014 Charity Car Wash
The scouts and their families washed and dried many, many cars during this charity car wash that
earned $380, which will be used to buy benches for the Reading Garden at Adamsville School,
our Charter Organization.

June 2014 Harry Ally Park Clean Up
The scouts descended upon Harry Ally Park and scoured the grounds near the park and gazebo, collecting two giant
bags of recycling and one giant bag of garbage. The park looked amazing when we left!

2012-2013 Scouting Year
May 2012 Duke Island Park Clean Up
We cleaned up beautiful Duke Island Park and helped make it even more lovely.
May 2013 Adamsville School Garden Clean Up
The scouts helped other Adamsville students and families clean up and beautify their school.

The scouts cleaned up Chimney Rock Park
and collected many bags of trash to help beautify the area and to truly live the principles of Leave No Trace.

and passed out handmade ornaments and candy, and smiles too.
October 2012 Adamsville School Rock Garden Clean Up
The scouts and their families weeded and cleaned up
the Reading Rocks garden in front of the library.




2011-2012 Scouting Year
May 2012 Charity Car Wash

The scouts and their families washed and dried many, many cars during this charity car wash that
earned $500 to present to the family of Fire Captain Jimmy Schupper, who sadly lost his battle with
pancreatic cancer just a few days before the event.
May 2012 Harry Ally Park Clean Up
The scouts descended upon Harry Ally Park and scoured the grounds near the park and gazebo, collecting two giant
bags of recycling and one giant bag of garbage that was mostly cigarette butts and candy wrappers. The area looked
fantastic when we left!
May 2012 Adamsville School Garden Clean Up
The scouts helped other Adamsville students and families clean up and beautify their school.

The scouts, along with a Somerset County Park Ranger, cleaned up Washington Valley Park
and collected 15 bags of trash to help beautify the area and to truly live the principles of Leave No Trace.
